Maryam AzmandianPhD StudentComputer ScienceAdviser: Mike Rubenstein

Hi, my name is Maryam Azmandian, and I’m a Computer Science PhD student in Dr. Michael Rubenstein’s lab. Prior to starting my graduate studies at Northwestern University, I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at UC Berkeley. During my time at Berkeley, I’ve had various opportunities to engage in skills such as teaching, mentoring, and assisting with research. I’m very passionate about robotics, pedagogy, leadership, mentoring, and bringing people together–fostering a strong sense of community, belonging, and support. My goal is to build upon my teaching and research skills to be able to concretize technologies that support humanity, one robot (or swarm network) at a time.
